Zamzar is a UK-based online file-conversion platform. It converts thousands of formats—documents, images, audio, video, eBooks and CAD—via a simple web app and a developer REST API.
Known for speed and data privacy, it serves consumers through to enterprise teams needing secure, at-scale format conversion.
The team at Zamzar approached me shortly before the switch over from UA to GA4 and asked to help them with their migration. Post the migration, they asked me to create a day of personalised training on GA4 for their team.
Initially I sent out a questionnaire to the team at Zamzar, asking them to outline their level of expertise, pain points and areas they wanted to up skill on, in relation to Google Analytics.
I then conducted an audit of their Universal Analytics account, to identify what they wanted to migrated into GA4. Based on my audit, I was also able to further refine how I would personalise the training day.
Armed with the GA4 audit results and answers to my questionnaire I created a comprehensive measurement plan, which included a UA to GA4 migration plan. This was shared with leadership and development teams to ensure we were all aligned.
We did not use GTM for the tagging setup, rather I worked with their development team and used the measurement plan I had created to integrate GA4 with Google Tag.
Based on the answers to the questionnaires and audit findings I created a day of in-person training, completely personalised to the Zamzar team and their Google Analytics setup. This covered the following key areas:
The team were given exercises on the day, that they did separately and in a team, at various junctions to ensure they understood what I had taught.
The Zamzar team were able to go away and start using GA4 in a more confident and knowledgable manner.
